Imagine that you are the administrator of a public computer network which is used by many people. There are plenty of them who use USB memory sticks. Most of the times, these USB memory devices are infected with dangerous autorun viruses, which can put in danger the security of the computer and the network itself. That's why it's important to restrict the usage of USB memory sticks and to closely monitor all the operations performed using them. An application which allows this is MyUSBOnly.

The program practically allows a computer user to protect all his USB ports with a password, preventing unauthorized users from inserting dangerous USB memory sticks into them. In his way, all the information stored on the computer will be safe and the network will remain protected. The program is very easy to install and also simple to use. At first, the user will be asked to enter a password for having access to the program's configuration section. The default password is 0000 and should be changed as soon as possible, after the program is installed.

When a new USB memory stick is plugged into the computer, MyUSBOnly automatically detects it and asks for a password in order to make the memory device functional. The USB devices of the admin can be added to a white list, so that the program won't ask for a password each time these devices are inserted into the USB port.

Besides protecting USB ports with a password, MyUSBOnly can also log every single operation performed using a USB pen drive, like copy, move, delete, cut and so on. Besides that, the user can configure the program to automatically send a notification to a designated email address, each time a new USB device is plugged into the computer.
